Two Suspects Charged with Carryout Store Owner's Murder

Homicide detectives have arrested and charged two people in connection with the murder of Tian Zin Wang (52), owner and delivery man of China Garden Carry Out. 18 year-old Ronald Gamble of the 1000 block of Ashland Court and 27 year old Walter Taylor of the 800 block of Webb Court have been charged with 1st degree murder, armed robbery and, related handgun offenses.
On the evening of January 3rd, police responded to the 800 block of Webb Court, in East Baltimore, for a reported serious shooting. Once there, officers found Wang suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. Tian Wang was pronounced dead at Johns Hopkins Hospital two days later.
Police later learned that Wang was delivering food in the 800 block of Webb Court when he was approached by two robbers. After being robbed of the food he was delivering and $2.00 in U.S. currency, one of the robbers critically shot Wang. The investigation ultimately lead to the arrest of the two suspects and yielded a confession by both. Currently, Gamble and Taylor are at the Baltimore City Central Booking Intake Facility awaiting trial.
