Central District Shooting Investigation

On Sept. 26, 2024, at approximately 7:50 p.m., Central District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment for a gunshot wound. 

Upon arrival at the hospital, officers located a 20-year-old male victim who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim is listed in critical but stable condition. 

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was in the 600 block of West Franklin Street when he was shot.
