Northwest District Death Investigation

On November 2, 2024, at approximately 9:36 p.m., police and fire personnel responded to the 5900 block of Bonnie View Drive following reports of an active vehicle fire.

Once the fire was extinguished, fire personnel informed the police that there was a deceased person inside the vehicle.

The remains of the unidentified victim were transported to the Medical Examiner's office, where efforts will be made to identify the victim and determine the cause of death.

Crash Team detectives are currently investigating the incident.

Southern District Shooting Investigation

On November 2, 2024, at approximately 7:13 p.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to the 4000 block of Pennington Avenue for a shooting report.

Once there, officers located a 62-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Medics responded to the location and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.
