BPD to conduct DUI checkpoint July 6
In an effort to educate our residents on the dangers of driving while impaired and to prevent alcohol/drug-related vehicle accidents, the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) will hold an enforcement checkpoint on July 6, 2024, from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m., in the 2500 block of Harford Road.
The location was selected because BPD has recently seen an increase in vehicle accidents with injury along the Harford Road corridor.
During the checkpoint, BPD officers will also provide educational information about safe driving and impaired driving preventions. Motorists who are caught driving while impaired will be cited and/or arrested.
The BPD will continue its public safety efforts by monitoring high-risk areas, conducting checkpoints and striving toward zero traffic-related deaths in Maryland by increasing enforcement in problematic areas.
