Northeastern District Shooting Investigation

On Aug. 20, 2023, at approximately 3:36 p.m., officers responded to the 5800 block of Leith Walk for reports of a shooting.

A 15-year-old male victim reportedly called police from inside a dwelling. Once there, officers discovered the victim suffering from an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg.

Northwestern District Shooting Investigation

On Aug. 20, 2023, at approximately 5:37 a.m., officers responded to the

2600 block of Gage Court where a 23-year-old victim advised he had been shot by an unknown suspect.

The victim was transported to an area hospital to be treated for an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the arm.

Central District Homicide Investigation – UPDATE

On Aug. 20, 2023, at approximately 3:05 a.m., officers responded to reports of a discharging and a Shot Spotter alert.

Once on scene, officers discovered two victims -- a 25-year-old male and a 26-year-old female -- in the 800 block of Guilford Ave.

First aid was rendered. However, the male victim was pronounced deceased a short time later. The female victim is in critical condition and remains on life support.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to call Homicide detectives at 410-396-2100.

Northern District Shooting Investigation

On Aug. 20, 2023, at approximately 2:18 a.m., a 26-year-old female was in the area of the 4800 block of Beaufort Ave. when she believed she was struck in the head with a baseball bat.

Medics transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment. Following tests by medical personnel, it was determined the victim had been shot.
