Southern District Shooting Investigation

On October 16, 2024, at approximately 11:18 p.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to the 1700 block of Russell Street, for a report of a discharging.

Upon arrival, officers located a 26-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Medics responded to the location and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.

Southwest District Shooting Investigation

On October 16, 2024, at around 5:15 p.m., officers responded to the 3500 block of West Caton Avenue to investigate a call for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 53-year-old male suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where he was treated for his injuries. 

Southwest District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
