Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested
On November 5, 2022, at approximately 2:38 a.m., a 29-year-old woman was shot multiple times in the 1300 block of N. Fremont Avenue.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where she was treated for her injuries.
Western District shooting detectives investigated this incident by pulling video footage and interviewing witnesses.
Detectives were ultimately able to identify a suspect and on December 28, 2022, obtained an arrest warrant for that suspect.
On January 5, 2023, at approximately 10 a.m., members of the Warrant Task Force arrested 35-year-old Ronald Perry at a home in the 4500 block of Schley Avenue.
Perry was transported to the Western District where he was interviewed, and then taken to Central Booking where he has been charged with 1st Degree Attempted Murder, 1st Degree Assault, and various handgun violations, relative to this case.
Currently, Perry remains in Central Booking and is waiting to see a court commissioner.
