Baltimore Police Detectives investigate camera found in library restroom

Baltimore, Md. (March 3, 2023) -- Baltimore Detectives are currently investigating the discovery of a camera which was discovered in the bathroom of the Enoch Pratt Free Library -- Hamilton Branch, located in the 5900 block of Harford Road.

The investigation into the incident began on Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, after a patron of the library observed a camera hanging from the ceiling in the bathroom. The restroom is located in the basement of the library and is a gender-neutral single room.

Detectives have secured the camera and are working closely with the Enoch Pratt Free Library’s Security Team.

The investigation into this incident has been assumed by the BPD’s Special Investigations Section (SIS).

This is an active and ongoing investigation.
