Central District Shooting Arrest

In reference to the shooting that occurred in the Central District, on November 8, 2023, investigators have arrested 40-year-old Neisha Jackson.

Investigators learned that Jackson was involved in a road rage incident that began around the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr Blvd at West Mulberry Street, between Jackson and the 41-year-old female victim. The victim and the suspect continued the dispute to the 100 block of South Eutaw Street, where Neisha Jackson produced a gun and shot the 41-year-old victim.

Officers arrested Neisha Jackson in the 3000 block of Waterview Avenue and transported her to Central Booking Intake Facility where she has been charged with attempted 1st and 2nd-degree murder and assault.

Central District Shooting Investigation

On November 8, 2023, at approximately 9:43 a.m., officers were on routine patrol in the 400 block of West Pratt Street, when they heard possible gunfire.

Officers canvased the location and located a 41-year-old female suffering from an apparent graze wound to the lower body.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Officers were able to locate a possible person of interest in the 3000 block of Waterview Avenue.
