On August 9, 2023, at approximately 1:40 a.m., officers responded to the 2800 block of The Alameda to investigate a ShotSpotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 26-year-old female who was suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to her arm. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital to receive treatment for her injury.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the incident had occurred in the 1500 block of East 28th Street.

Eastern District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
