Eastern District Shooting upgraded to a Homicide

On February 19, 2023, at approximately 11:07 a.m., Eastern District officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of East 25th Street to investigate a reported shooting. 

When officers arrived at the location, they observed a 28-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital by ambulance. 

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased, a short time later due to his injuries.
