Northern District Shooting Investigation

On April 2, 2023, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Northern District officers responded to the 4000 block of Oswego Avenue to investigate a discharging.

Upon arrival, officers observed an 18-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported by medics to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Northern District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation.

Northeast District Shooting Investigation

On April 2, 2023, at approximately 7:28 p.m., Northeast District officers responded to the 3100 block of Elmora Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed two males suffering from gunshot wounds, one 23-year-old male, and another unidentified male. The unidentified male suffered a gunshot wound to his back and the 23-year-old male suffered a graze wound to his ankle.

Both victims’ were transported by medics to an area hospital. The unidentified male is in critical condition and the 23-year-old male is in stable condition.

Northeast District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation.

Northern District Shooting Investigation

On April 1, 2023, at approximately 11:21 p.m., Northern District officers responded to the 5000 block of The Alameda to investigate a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 31-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by medics to an area hospital to be treated for his injuries. His condition is critical yet stable.

Northern District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation.

Northeast District Homicide Investigation 

On April 1, 2023, at approximately 8:43 p.m., Northeast District officers responded to the 3200 block of Woodring Avenue to investigate a reported shooting. 

Upon arrival, officers located two males, ages 49 and 41. Both were pronounced deceased at the scene. 

Officers then located a 31-year-old female and a 69-year-old female, both of whom were transported to an area hospital by medics.  The 69-year-old female was pronounced deceased a short time later by medical personnel while the 31-year-old remains in critical condition.

Homicide detectives have responded and are investigating this incident.

Southern District Shooting Investigation

On April 1, 2023, at approximately 3:37 p.m., Northern District officers responded to the 2100 block of Maryland Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 25-year-old male and a 38-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both victims have been transported by medics to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries. The victims' are stable at this time.

Further investigation revealed that the shooting occurred in the 500 block of Callender Street in the Southern, on April 1, 2023, at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Southern District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation.
