Northeast District Shooting Investigation

On August 12, 2023,  at approximately 5:11 p.m., Northeast District officers were dispatched to a local hospital to investigation a victim that walked-in seeking treatment for gunshot wounds.  

Officers responded to the hospital and observed a 17-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest, being treated by medical professionals.

Northeast District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.

Preliminary information revealed that the incident occurred in the 1200 block of Sheridan Avenue.

Southwest District Homicide Investigation 

On August 12, 2023 at approximately 12:06 p.m., Southwest District officers responded to the 2500 block of W. Pratt Street for a shotspotter alert. 

Officers responded to the location and discovered an unidentified adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced by medical professionals. 

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.

Western District Shooting Investigation

On August 12, 2023, at approximately 12:47 a.m., Western District officers responded to 1600 block of Presbury Street for a shotspotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers located a 52-year-old male inside a residence suffering from a gunshot wound to the body and a graze wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Western District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.

Southeast District Shooting Investigation

On August 12, 2023 at approximately 12:18 a.m., Southeast District officers were dispatched to the 100 block of N. Highland Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.

Officers responded to the location and observed a crime scene. A short time later, a 44-year-old male walked into a local hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound.

Southeast District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.
