Western District Shooting Investigation
On Dec. 21, 2023, at approximately 6:32 p.m., Western District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a walk-in victim seeking treatment.
Once at the hospital, officers located a 36-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body. The victim is listed in stable condition.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot in the 2600 block of Baker Street by an unidentified male suspect.
Western District Shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Western District Shooting detectives at 410-396-2477.

Southeast District Homicide Investigation
On Nov. 1, 2023, Southeast District patrol officers responded to the 600 block of North Decker Street for a report of a missing person.
Once there, officers spoke to family members who stated that 39-year-old Pedie Edwards (B/M) had not returned home and they were extremely concerned about his well-being.
Due to evidence obtained in reference to this missing person, the case was handed over to Homicide Detectives.
On Dec. 9, 2023, the body of an unidentified male was pulled from the water in Secaucus, N.J.
That body was transported to the Medical Examiner's Office in New Jersey, where the victim was identified as 39-year-old Pedie Edwards. Doctors in New Jersey ruled the death to be a homicide by shooting.
Officials in New Jersey reached out to Baltimore City Homicide Detectives on the findings of Pedie Edwards.
