Western District Shooting Investigation

On Dec. 6, 2023, at approximately 3:35 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of North Monroe Street and Edmondson Avenue to investigate a call for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 24-year-old female suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where she will receive treatment for her injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot in the 500 block of North Monroe Street.

Western District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Southwest District Shooting Investigation

On December 6, 2023, at approximately 1:43 p.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a walk-in victim seeking treatment.

Once at the hospital, officers located a 26-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the left leg. The victim is listed in stable condition.

The location of the incident is unknown at this time.
