Eastern District Shooting Investigation

On Feb. 21, 2024, at approximately 4:06 p.m., Eastern District patrol officers responded to the 4200 block of Sheldon Avenue, for a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 41-year-old male victim, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

Preliminary investigators revealed that the victim was having a verbal dispute with a known person, who shot him.

Northeast District Fatal Vehicle Crash

On February 21, 2024, at approximately 7:33 a.m., Northeast District patrol officers responded to the 3500 block of Belair Road for a report of a fatal crash involving multiple vehicles.

At the scene, a child was pronounced deceased by medics. A second victim who was trapped inside of a vehicle was later pronounced deceased.

Investigators believe speed to be a factor in this fatal crash.

Crash Team detectives are currently investigating this incident.
