Northern District Shooting Investigation

On Feb. 27, 2023, at approximately 1:15 p.m., Northern District officers were on site of a vehicle accident in the 4000 block of York Road when they were notified of discharging and a potential shooting victim in the 600 block of East Coldspring Lane.

Officers responded and located an unidentified male with a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Northern District detectives were notified and assumed control of the investigation.

Eastern District Homicide Investigation

On February 27, 2023, at approximately 6:26 a.m., Eastern District officers responded to the 800 block of North Port Street for a call for a cutting.

Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive 54-year-old male. The male had what appeared to be a stab wound to the body.

Medics transported the victim to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation.
