Western District Shooting Investigation

On July 19, 2023, at approximately 3:48 p.m., officers responded to the 500 block of Robert Street to investigate a Shotspotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers located evidence of a shooting and then received a call for a walk-in shooting victim at an area hospital.

Officers were dispatched to an area hospital where they observed a 25-year-old female suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to her leg.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the incident had occurred in the 1800 block of Division Street, and two 28-year-old males were also shot at during this incident, but neither were injured.

Western District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Northern District Shooting Investigation

On July 19, 2023, at approximately 3:44 a.m., Northern District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim.

Once there, officers located a 26-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the lower body.

At this time the location of the shooting has not been determined.

Western District Shooting Investigation

On July 19, 2023, at approximately 3:35 a.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 26-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the lower body.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Fatal Pedestrian Involved Hit & Run

On July 19, 2023, at approximately 2:37 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to North Hilton Street at Phelps Lane, for a report of a pedestrian struck.

Once there, officers located an adult male victim, unresponsive.

Medics arrived to the location and pronounced the victim dead on the scene.

The driver of the striking vehicle did not remain at the location.

Crash Team investigators are investigating this incident.
