Northeast District Homicide Investigation

On July 8, 2023, at approximately 5:04 p.m., officers responded to the 2800 block of Clifton Park Terrace to investigate a call for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed an unidentified female suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Medics transported the victim to John Hopkins Hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.

A male suspect is in custody regarding this incident.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Fatal Pedestrian Hit and Run Investigation

On July 8, 2023, at approximately 4:09 p.m., officers responded to the 5100 block of Reisterstown Road to investigate a call for a pedestrian struck.

Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive unidentified male. Officers were advised that the victim was struck by a vehicle. After striking the victim, the unidentified vehicle fled the scene. Medics responded, and despite life-saving measures, the victim was pronounced deceased.

CRASH team investigators responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Eastern District Homicide Investigation

On July 8, 2023, at approximately 2:56 a.m., officers responded to the 900 block of Greenmount Avenue to investigate a ShotSpotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers located a 20-year-old male, a 21-year-old male, and a 29-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds in the 500 block of East Eager Street. All three victims were transported to area hospitals where despite life-saving measures, the 29-year-old male and the 21-year-old male were pronounced deceased. The 20-year-old male had sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

During this incident, officers received a call for a walk-in shooting victim at an area hospital.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 19-year-old male suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound(s). The 19-year-old is currently in critical condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed that there was a verbal dispute that led to a physical altercation, at which time gunshots were fired. 

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this Investigation.
