Northeast District Shooting Investigation 

On June 16, 2024, at around 7:43 p.m., officers responded to investigate a shooting in the 5200 block of Saybrook Road. Upon arrival, officers observed an 18-year-old male suffering from numerous non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where he was treated for his injuries. 

Northeast District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Southern District Homicide Investigation 

On June 16, 2024, at around 3:15 p.m., officers responded to the 1800 block of Spence Street to investigate a call for a sick case. 

Upon arrival, medics were performing life-saving measures on an unidentified individual; despite this, the individual was pronounced deceased. There were signs of trauma to the victim. An unidentified male was taken into custody regarding this incident. Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Southeast District Shooting Investigation

On June 16, 2024, at approximately 1:38 a.m., Southeast District patrol officers responded to the 600 block of North Glover Street for a report of discharging.

Once there, an area canvas for victims yielded negative results.

At approximately 1:55 a.m. officers were advised of a walk-in shooting victim at an area hospital.

Upon arrival, officers located a 19-year-old male suffering from an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the foot.

Investigators learned the victim was shot while in the 600 block of Glover Street.
