Southern District Shooting Investigation

On March 21, 2023, at approximately 9:17 p.m., Southern District officers responded to the 4000 block of Fort Armistead Road to investigate a reported shooting.

When officers arrived at the location, they located a 20-year-old female and a 19-year-old female suffering from gunshot wounds to their bodies.

The victims were transported by medics to an area hospital to be treated for their injuries. At this time, there are no updates on the victims’ conditions.

Western District Homicide Investigation

On March 21, 2023, at approximately 2:51 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Edmondson Avenue in response to a shooting.

Upon arriving at the location, officers observed a 33-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation.

Preliminary information revealed that the suspect and victim were engaged in a verbal argument prior to the shooting.

Northern District Shooting Investigation

On March 21, 2023, at approximately 4:23 a.m., Northern District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim.

Once there, officers located a 31-year-old male suffering from an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The location of this shooting is currently unknown to investigators.

Western District Shooting Investigation

On March 21, 2023, at approximately 3:58 a.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 2400 block of Etting Street, for a Shot Spotter alert.

Once at the location, officers were able to locate a crime scene in that block. Moments later, officers were then advised of a shooting victim in the 2000 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway.

Upon officers' arrival, they located a 37-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot in the 2400 block of Etting Street, by an unidentified male. The victim then drove to the 2000 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway to notify police.
