Northwest District Shooting Investigation

On May 29, 2024, at around 10:33 p.m., officers received a call for a discharging in the area of the 5000 block of Litchfield Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers located evidence of a shooting and shortly after received a call for a walk-in shooting victim at an area hospital. Upon arriving at the hospital, officers observed a 23-year-old male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Northwest District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Southern District Homicide Investigation

On May 26, 2024, at approximately 6:56 a.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to the 1500 block of Russell Street for a report of a common assault.

Once there, officers learned the victim had been transported by medic to an area hospital before police arrival.

Upon arrival at the hospital, officers located the 37-year-old male victim suffering from multiple injuries to the head and body.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was assaulted by a group of suspects in the 1500 block of Russell Street.

On May 29, 2024, the victim, 37-year-old Marcus Brown (B/M) died from his injuries.

The victim's body was transported to the Medical Examiner's office where the death was ruled to be a homicide.

Northwest District Homicide Investigation

On May 29, 2024, at approximately 6:45 a.m., Northwest District patrol officers responded to the 5600 block of Bland Road, for a report of an unresponsive male.

Once there, officers located an unidentified male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. 

Medics arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim dead.

Southwest District Shooting Investigation

On May 29, 2024, at approximately 5:10 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim.

Once there, officers located a 56-year-old male suffering from an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Officers have located a crime scene in the 500 block of South Smallwood Street.

Northwest District Shooting Investigation

On May 29, 2024, at approximately 12:44 a.m., patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a possible walk-in shooting victim. 

Once there, officers located a 28-year-old woman suffering from a possible graze wound to the leg.

Investigators learned that the victim was in the 4000 block of Maine Avenue, on May 28, 2024, at approximately 8:40 p.m. when the shooting occurred.
