Western District Homicide Investigation

On Nov. 14, 2023, at approximately 10:32 p.m., officers responded to the 2800 block of Edmondson Avenue to investigate a ShotSpotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers observed two unidentified males suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. Medics, despite life-saving measures, pronounced one of the unidentified deceased on the scene and transported the other unidentified male to an area hospital. This unidentified male has been listed in critical condition.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Western District Shooting Investigation

On November 14, 2023, at approximately 7:48 a.m., Western District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim.

Once there, officers located a 36-year-old male suffering from an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound. 

Investigators learned that the victim was shot while in the 1700 block of Calhoun Street, in the rear.
