Fatal Vehicle Accident Investigation

On Nov. 7, 2023, at approximately 5:15 a.m., officers responded to the 1600 block of Spruce Street to investigate a call for a pedestrian struck.

Upon arrival, officers were advised that a 35-year-old male was struck by a vehicle in the 3900 block of Curtis Avenue. Medics transported the pedestrian to the University of Maryland, Shock Trauma, where he was listed to be in serious condition. The driver of the vehicle involved stayed on the scene. 

On Nov. 8, 2023, at approximately 4:30 p.m., despite life-saving measures, the 35-year-old male was pronounced deceased. 

AIU investigators have assumed control over this investigation.

Southwest District Shooting Investigation

On Nov. 8, 2023, at approximately 6:25 p.m., officers responded to the 1900 block of West Pratt Street to investigate a call for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 24-year-old male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment for his injury.

Southwest District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Eastern District Shooting Investigation

On Nov. 8, 2023, at approximately 2:20 p.m., officers responded to the 3900 block of Erdman Avenue to investigate a ShotSpotter alert. 

Upon arrival, officers observed an unidentified male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where he would receive treatment for his injury. 

Eastern District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Central District Shooting Investigation

On Nov. 8, 2023, at approximately 9:43 a.m., officers were on routine patrol in the 400 block of West Pratt Street, when they heard possible gunfire.

Officers canvased the location and located a 41-year-old female suffering from an apparent graze wound to the lower body.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Officers were able to locate a possible person of interest in the 3000 block of Waterview Avenue.
