Northeast District Shooting Investigation

On September 28, 2023, at approximately 7:50 p.m., Northeast District patrol officers responded to the 2700 block of Shamrock Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.

Once at the location, officers located a 35-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the right leg. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Western District Homicide Investigation

On September 28, 2023, at approximately 9:37 p.m., Western District officers responded to the 2300 Block of West Lafayette Avenue to investigate a shooting.

Once at the location, officers found a 20-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
