Northwest District Shooting Investigation

On August 11, 2023, at approximately 4:40 p.m., officers responded to Saint Agnes Hospital for a report of a 6-year-old victim who walked in with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg. Once officers arrived, they spoke with the victim's father and babysitter.

Early on August 11th, the babysitter advised that she was in Druid Hill Park near the pool/playground area with her child and the victim when she heard gunshots. At that time, she noticed that the 6-year-old's leg was bleeding.

She brought the 6-year-old victim to the 2400 block of Baker Street, which is the mother's residence, and dropped off the 6-year-old victim to his father. The father alleged that he called for an ambulance to the location but stated that medics referred the father to a walk-in clinic. The father and sitter allegedly brought the victim to a Patient First in Baltimore County. The Patient First advised the father and sitter to go to Saint Agnes Hospital. (All the alleged statements are unverified at this time and are part of the investigation.)

Preliminary investigation is indicating that the incident may have taken place inside the house in the 2400 block of Baker Street.

Northeast District Homicide Investigation

On August 11, 2023, at approximately 4:43 p.m., Northeast District officers responded to the 1800 Block of 33rd Street to investigate a ShotSpotter alert.

Once at the location, officers located an unidentified male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.

A short time later, a 19-year-old male victim walked into an area hospital seeking treatment for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim stated that he was shot in the 1800 block of 33rd Street.

Southeast District Shooting Investigation

On August 11, 2023, at approximately 3:51 p.m., Southeast District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a walk-in victim seeking treatment.

Once at the hospital, officers located a 20-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the leg. The victim is listed in stable condition.

The incident location is unknown at this time.

Southwest District Shooting Investigation

On August 11, 2023, at approximately 7:47 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a walk-in victim seeking treatment.

Once at the hospital, officers located a 26-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body. The victim is listed in stable condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot in the 1600 block of Cole Street.

Eastern District Shooting Investigation

On Aug. 11, 2023, at approximately 12:29 a.m., Eastern District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim.

Once there, officers located a 17-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the lower body.

The victim's injury is believed to be non-life threatening. 

Investigators have set the location of the shooting to the 1500 block of Aisquith Street.
