Eastern District Shooting Investigation

On September 18, 2023, at approximately 9:31 p.m., Eastern District patrol officers responded to the 2800 block of Edison Highway, in reference to a Shot Spotter alert.

Once in the area, officers canvassed the location and found an 18-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound in the 3200 block of Belair Road.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot while in the 3000 block of Mayfield Avenue, by an unidentified suspect.
