Northern District Attempted Murder Arrest

In reference to the shooting that occurred on August 20, 2023, in the Northern District, detectives have arrested 30-year-old Larry Winder 3rd.

Detectives learned that Winder shot a 24-year-old female victim while in the 4800 block of Beaufort Avenue.

On August 29, 2023, detectives arrested Larry Winder and transported him to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he has been charged with attempted first-degree murder.

Northern District Shooting Investigation

On Aug. 20, 2023, at approximately 2:18 a.m., a 26-year-old female was in the area of the 4800 block of Beaufort Ave. when she believed she was struck in the head with a baseball bat.

Medics transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment. Following tests by medical personnel, it was determined the victim had been shot.
