Police-Involved Aggravated Assault Arrest

On September 5, 2023, Regional Auto Theft Task Force members arrested 33-year-old Alex Husson of Ellicott City in the 9700 block of Robert Jay Way, following a detective's investigation into an incident that occurred earlier in the day in the 3400 block of Wilkens Avenue.

Detectives believe Husson struck two BPD officers with his vehicle while attempting to flee from the scene.

It has been confirmed that Husson was not shot during this incident.

Husson will be transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he will be formally charged.

The Baltimore Police Department’s Special Investigations Response Team (SIRT) is investigating this incident. The department has activated its Public Release of Critical Incident Recordings Policy.

Southwest District Police-Involved Discharging

On September 5, 2023, at approximately 11:19 a.m., detectives were inside of a convenience store in the 3400 block of Wilkens Avenue, when they observed an unidentified adult male stealing from the location.

The suspect fled the store and entered a black colored SUV.

As the suspect attempted to flee the location, the suspect struck two officers with his SUV. Another officer then discharged his weapon at the suspect's vehicle.

Currently, it is unknown if the suspect was shot.

Medics responded to the scene and transported both officers to area hospitals for treatment.
