Southeast District Homicide Arrest
In reference to the shooting death of 35-year-old Kevin Abel Torres Guerrero that occurred on Nov. 7, 2022, in the Southeast District, Homicide detectives have arrested 39-year-old Keith Luckey.
This arrest came after detectives consulted with the States Attorney’s Office and it was determined that the facts of this case warranted an arrest.
On December 6, 2022, Keith Luckey was arrested and transported to Central Booking Intake Facility where he has been formally charged with murder in the first degree.

Southeast District Homicide Investigation
On Nov. 7, 2022, at approximately 1:26 a.m., Southeast District patrol officers were patrolling in the area of East Lombard Street when they heard discharging coming from the 4000 block of East Lombard Street.
Once there, officers located a 35-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Preliminary investigation revealed a security guard spoke with officers when they arrived and informed officers that the victim threw a brick at him, causing him to discharge his weapon and strike the victim.
