Southern District Attempted Murder Arrest
In reference to the shooting that occurred in the Southern District on June 30, 2024, investigators have arrested 31-year-old Chardon Cruz of Baltimore.
Southern District detective learned that Cruz shot a 32-year-old male victim while in the 2500 block of Washington Boulevard.
On October 2, 2024, detectives arrested Chardon Cruz and transported him to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder.

Southern District Shooting Investigation
On June 30, 2024, at approximately 12:21 a.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to the 2500 block of Washington Boulevard for a report of shooting.
Once there, officers located a 32-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where his injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
