Southern District Homicide Arrest
In reference to the fatal shooting that occurred in the Southern District on October 27, 2024, detectives have arrested 27-year-old Daeshaun Clark of Severn, MD., 28-year-old Devontaye Richardson of Hanover, MD, and 20-year-old Alexis Cancel-Soto of Baltimore.
According to investigators, the suspects were involved in a shootout in the unit block of West Hamburg Street, during which 19-year-old Cameran Holt, who was not involved in the altercation, was shot. Ms. Holt, died on November 7, 2024, as a result of her injuries.
Warrant Apprehension detectives apprehended Devontaye Richardson and Daeshaun Clark on November 21, 2024. Alexis Cancel-Soto was arrested a few days later, on November 25, 2024. All three individuals have been transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility and have been charged with First Degree Murder.

Southern District Shooting Investigation upgraded to Homicide
Update: The 19-year-old female victim succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased on November 7, 2024, by hospital staff.
On October 27, 2024, at approximately 3:43 a.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to the unit block of West Hamburg Street in reference to a shooting.
Once there, officers located a 19-year-old female suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Due to the victim's injuries, Homicide detectives have been notified.
At approximately 4:14 a.m., district patrol officers were called to an area hospital where they located a 28-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Investigators learned the 28-year-old male victim was also shot while in the unit block of West Hamburg Street.
