Southern District Homicide Arrest
In reference to the brutal stabbing death of 6-year-old Seron O'Neal, which occurred on Jan. 23, 2024, inside a home in the 2000 block of Deering Avenue, detectives have arrested 32-year-old Alan Geslicki.
Geslicki, who was the boyfriend of the victim's mother, was arrested in the Southwest District shortly after the murder during a vehicle stop and short foot pursuit that ended in the 100 block of South Carrolton Avenue.
Detectives transported Geslicki to the Central Booking Intake Facility where he was charged with first-degree murder.

Southern District Homicide Investigation
On Jan. 23, 2024, at approximately 9:20 p.m., Southern District officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of Deering Avenue to investigate a reported domestic-related stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers located a 6-year-old male victim suffering from multiple stab wounds to the back. The victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. Despite medical efforts the victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was stabbed by his mother's boyfriend. A person of interest is in custody.
