Southwest District Attempted Murder Arrest

On Oct. 9, 2024, officers arrested 40-year-old Tavone Lewis of Baltimore.

Detectives believe Lewis had shot a 27-year-old male on Sept. 18, 2024, in the 300 block of S Mount Olivet Lane. 

Lewis was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder and additional charges.

Southwest District Shooting Investigation

On Sept. 18, 2024, at around 8:16 p.m., officers responded to an area hospital to investigate a call for a walk-in shooting investigation. 

Upon arrival, officers observed a 27-year-old male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. 

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot in the 300 block of S Mount Olivet Lane. 

Southwest District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
