Southwest District Homicide Arrest
In reference to the homicide that occurred in the Southwest District on December 30, 2023, investigators have arrested 22-year-old Jerrod Smith of Baltimore.
Investigators learned that Smith fatally shot 31-year-old Toby Rogers during an altercation inside a home in the 4300 block of Seminole Avenue.
On January 2, 2024, detectives arrested Jerrod Smith and transported him to Central Booking Intake Facility where he was charged with second-degree murder.
Smith's bail amount has been set at $100,000.

Southwest District Homicide Investigation
On December 30, 2023, at approximately 10:14 p.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to the 4300 block of Seminole Avenue, for a report of a shooting.
Once there, officers located a 31-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Medics arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim dead at the location.
