On February 20, 2023, at approximately 10:41 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to the 2700 block of West North Avenue to Investigate a shot spotter alert.

Once at the location, officers located an unidentified female victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body and head. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where she was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
