On March 7, 2023, at approximately 1:52 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to the 500 block of South Bentalou Street, for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 38-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where his injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
