On Nov. 22, 2023, at approximately 2:31 p.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to the 400 block of S. Payson Street for a Shot Spotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers located a 33-year-old  male victim, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the left foot. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
