In reference to the shooting that occurred in the Western District on July 29, 2023, Warrant Apprehension detectives arrested 41-year-old Michael Childs of Baltimore.

Detectives learned Childs shot a 45-year-old male while in the 2400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, following a dispute.

On October 5, 2023, investigators arrested Michael Childs and transported him to Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted first degree murder. Childs was also arrested on an additional warrant for his involvement in a carjacking.

Michael Childs is currently being held on a no-bail status.
