Western District Attempted Murder Arrest
On April 22, 2024, at approximately 3:45 p.m., Western District patrol officers responded to a home in the 2900 block of Edmondson Avenue, for a report of a burglary.
Once there, officers located a 36-year-old male suffering from apparent stab wounds to the body.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Investigators learned that the victim was involved in a dispute with the suspect who produced a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times before fleeing the location.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify the suspect as 35-year-old Calvin Moore, a repeat violent offender.
On May 30, 2024, officers arrested Calvin Moore and transported him to the Central Booking Intake Facility where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder.
