On Dec. 8, 2023, at approximately 10:28 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of North Bentalou Street and Edmondson Avenue to investigate a call for a shooting. Upon arrival, officers observed a 24-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where he will receive treatment for his injury.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot in the 600 block of North Bentalou Street.

 Western District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
