BPD Arrests and Enforcement -- April 13 and 14
Western District Handgun Arrest
On April 13, 2024, at approximately 9:39 p.m., Detectives from the Western District BCIC were monitoring Citiwatch cameras in the area of 1200 North Dukeland Street when they witnessed an unidentified male clearly in possession of a handgun. Foxtrot responded, and an arrest team moved in to detain the suspect without incident. Detectives arrested a 25-year-old male and recovered a Sar Arms SARK2P 9mm firearm loaded with 18 rounds. The suspect was transported to CBIF for further processing.

Southeast District Stolen Auto & Handgun Arrest
On April 13, 2024, at approximately 5:20 p.m., Detectives from the Southeast District DAT unit were proactively patrolling the 400 block of North Linwood Avenue when they observed a vehicle driving erratically. Detectives attempted to make a car stop, but the driver of the vehicle bailed out. After a short foot pursuit, detectives apprehended a 22-year-old individual and recovered a gun and CDS. The vehicle had been reported stolen in Howard County on April 5, 2024. The suspect was subsequently transported to CBIF for processing.

Eastern District Handgun Arrest
On April 13, 2024, at approximately 7:13 a.m., the Eastern District DAT was engaged in foot patrol in the rear area of the 4300 block of Belair Road, where officers encountered unidentified individuals exhibiting behaviors indicative of being armed. Officers stopped the individual and recovered a handgun. Subsequently, a 26-year-old male was placed under arrest and transported to CBIF for processing.

Southwest District Handgun & CDS Arrest
On April 11, 2024, at approximately 4:50 a.m., Detectives from CGIC, along with the assistance of GVU Detectives and BPD SWAT, executed a search warrant in the 3200 block of Westmont Avenue. Detectives arrested a 17-year-old male suspect and recovered a Glock 43 and CDS. The suspect was transported to CBIF and charged as an adult.
