Western District Homicide Arrest 

On June 28, 2024, at around 10 a.m., Warrant Apprehension Task Force members arrested 36-year-old Fred Woods.

Detectives believe that Woods had shot and killed 42-year-old Marvin Moore on June 18, 2024, in the 1100 block of Stoddard Court.

Detectives transported Woods to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with first-degree murder and additional charges.

Western District Homicide Investigation

On June 18, 2024, at approximately 12:40 a.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 1100 block of Stoddard Court for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 42-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the body.

Medics responded to the location and transported the victim to an area hospital, where he later died.
