BPD Arrests and Enforcement -- April 15 and 16
Northwest District Handgun Arrest
On April 16, 2024, at approximately 2:14 p.m., Northwest District DAT detectives were conducting proactive enforcement in the 4600 block of Reisterstown Road when they observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Reisterstown Road with brake lights out. Detectives conducted a traffic stop, which revealed the vehicle was unregistered and the tags did not belong on the vehicle. During a towed vehicle inventory, detectives recovered a handgun. Detectives arrested a 32-year-old male who was then transported to CBIF for processing.

Northern District Stolen Vehicle Arrest
On April 16, 2024, at around 1:45 p.m., the detectives from the Regional Auto Theft Task Force conducted an investigation that led them to the 3900 block of Greenspring Avenue. There, they arrested a 24-year-old male suspect and successfully recovered a stolen vehicle. The suspect was transported to CBIF for processing.

Western District Homicide Arrest
In reference to the homicide that occurred in the Western District on March 26, 2024, investigators have arrested 34-year-old Tony Dukes of Baltimore.
Investigators learned that Dukes fatally shot and killed 28-year-old Eugene Fitzgerald while in the 1800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.
On April 15, 2024, Warrant Apprehension detectives arrested Tony Dukes at 7:30 a.m., in the 4300 block of Liberty Heights Avenue.
Dukes was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility where he was charged with murder in the first degree.

Northern District Handgun Violation Arrest
On April 15, 2024, Northern District officers were in the 5900 block of York Road conducting an investigation.
This investigation led to the arrest of a 34-year-old Baltimore man. Seized from the suspect was a loaded handgun.
Officers transported the male to the Central Booking Intake Facility where he was charged with driving under the influence and handgun violations.

Western District Handgun Violation Arrest
On April 15, 2024, Western District officers were in the 1800 block of Walbrook Avenue, conducting an investigation.
This investigation led to the arrest of a 40-year-old male wanted on a warrant.
Seized from the suspect was a loaded handgun.
Due to previous felony convictions, the suspect was prohibited from possessing a firearm.Officers transported the 40-year-old male suspect to the Central Booking Intake Facility where he has been charged with handgun violations.

Southwest District Handgun & CDS Arrest
On April 14, 2024, at approximately 5:19 p.m., Southwest District officers were actively monitoring CCTV cameras in the 800 Block of West Lexington Street. Officers witnessed an unidentified male engaging in a hand-to-hand transaction involving suspected Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS). An arrest team promptly responded, detaining a 23-year-old male without incident. They were able to seize suspected CDS and a Black Glock 23Gen5 40 Caliber. The suspect was then transported to CBIF for further processing.
