BPD Arrests and Enforcement -- April 18
Western District Handgun And CDS Arrests
On April 18, 2024, at around 6:20 p.m., Western District Action Team members responded to the intersection of North Monroe Street and Edmondson Avenue to
investigate a call for an armed person. Detectives recovered numerous guns, drugs, ammunition, and U.S. currency from a pickup truck involved in this incident.
Two males, a 32-year-old and a 33-year-old, were arrested and transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where they were charged accordingly.

GVU announces successful drug trafficking organization operation
On April 18, 2024, at approximately 4 a.m., members of the Group Violence Unit (GVU) were conducting an extensive months-long drug and guns investigation.
Detectives executed eight High-Risk Search and Seizure warrants with the assistance of BPD's Eastern District Action Team, Southwest District Action Team, SWAT Teams, Anne Arundel County members, Baltimore County members, FBI SWAT members, Drug Enforcement Administration Special Response Team (DEA/SRT), and York Regional Task Force.
During this operation, detectives recovered a vast amount of drugs, guns, and other contraband. Upon completion of this operation, seven suspects were placed under arrest.

Southern District Carjacking and Handgun Arrest
On April 18, 2024, at around 6:42 a.m., officers responded to the 2500 block of West Patapsco Avenue to investigate a call for an armed carjacking.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with a male complainant who stated that he was carjacked at gunpoint by a group of unidentified males.
Later in the day, with the assistance of Baltimore County Foxtrot, officers apprehended a 16-year-old suspect in the 2300 block of James Street.
The suspect was arrested and transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged accordingly and as an adult.

Northwest District Carjacking Arrest
On April 17, 2024, at approximately 10:03 p.m., officers of the Northwest District patrol responded to the 3900 block of Wabash Avenue following reports of an unarmed
carjacking. Upon their arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who stated being assaulted by two unidentified males, who punched and took his car keys and then fled in
the victim’s vehicle. Officers located and stopped the carjacking vehicle in the 4900 block of Charlgrove Avenue, leading to the arrest of a 15-year-old and 18-year-old
suspects without incident. Both individuals were then transported to the booking facility for further processing.

Western District Attempted Murder Arrest
In reference to the shooting that occurred in the Western District on March 1, 2024, investigators have arrested 19-year-old Mandyae Turner of Baltimore.
Detectives learned that Turner shot the 20-year-old male victim multiple times while inside a business in the 1500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.
On April 18, 2024, Western District detectives arrested Mandyae Turner and transported him to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder.

Eastern District Handgun & CDS Arrest
On April 17, 2024, an Eastern District officer attempted to conduct a vehicle stop in the 3200 block of Cliftmont Avenue after learning the vehicle's tags did not match the vehicle.
The driver of that vehicle bailed out on foot but was arrested following a very brief foot pursuit.
The repeat offender suspect was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility where he has been charged accordingly.

Southern District Burglary Arrest
On April 17, 2024, Southern District officers responded to the 2000 block of Annapolis Road to investigate a residential burglary. Upon arrival, they found three
suspects - a 23-year-old female, a 31-year-old male, and a 48-year-old male - unlawfully inside the location and were arrested. The property owner supplied security
camera footage capturing all three suspects breaking into the residence. Subsequently, the suspects were transported to CBIF for processing.

Southern District Stolen Vehicle Arrest
On April 16, 2024, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Regional Auto Theft Task Force detectives observed a vehicle that had been reported stolen. The detectives attempted
to conduct a vehicle stop in the 1700 block of Washington Boulevard; however, the driver of the vehicle fled. A short time later, the suspect was apprehended and taken
into custody in Anne Arundel County with assistance from the aviation unit (Foxtrot). The driver, a 23-year-old male, was also wanted in Baltimore County for Attempted
Murder. The suspect was transported to central booking for processing.
