Eastern District Attempted Murder Arrest

On March 21, 2024, the Warrant Apprehension Task Force members arrested 28-year-old Wayne Coleman.

Detectives believe that Coleman was involved in the shooting of a 36-year-old male and a 24-year-old male in the 2300 block of East Hoffman Street on March 19, 2024.

Detectives transported Coleman to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted 1st-degree murder.

Northeast District Attempted Murder Arrest

On March 21, 2024, the Warrant Apprehension Task Force and Capital Area Regional Task Force members arrested 20-year-old Robert Blue.

Detectives believe that Blue was involved in the shooting of a 21-year-old male in the 4600 block of White Avenue on March 15, 2024.

Detectives transported Blue to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted 1st-degree murder.

Southeast District Handgun Violation Arrest

On March 21, 2024, officers working out of the Southeast District observed a vehicle operating without lights traveling at a high rate of speed, in the area of East Preston Street at North Milton Street.

While in the 800 block of North Milton Street, officers attempted to stop the suspect vehicle, which continued to flee.

Officers requested Foxtrot's assistance, who located the vehicle at a dead end, in the 900 block of North Chapel Street, where the vehicle struck a curb, rendering the vehicle inoperable.

Both the driver and the passenger attempted to flee on foot but were apprehended a short time later with the assistance of SWAT, DAT, GVU, and E&T officers.

Officers arrested a 21-year-old male and a 35-year-old male, seizing the pictured items.

Both suspects are prohibited from owning firearms.

The suspects were transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility where they have been charged accordingly including multiple counts of handgun violations.
