Central District Homicide Arrest

In reference to the homicide that occurred in the Central District on Jan. 4, 2024, investigators have arrested 24-year-old Tanare Williams of Capital Heights, Md.

Investigators learned that Williams fatally shot 31-year-old Antoine Johnson during an altercation inside the Unit block of North Eutaw Street.

On Jan. 22, 2024, Warrant Apprehension detectives assigned to the USMS Taskforce, with the assistance of CARFTF Greenbelt, took Tanare Williams into custody and transported him to Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with first-degree murder.

Central District Homicide Investigation

On Jan. 4, 2024, at approximately 12:09 a.m., while on routine patrol, a Central District officer was advised by a citizen of a shooting victim in the unit block of North Eutaw Street.

Once there, officers located an unidentified male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he later died.
