Central District Homicide Arrest

In reference to the aggravated assault that occurred in the Central District on August 17, 2024, investigators have arrested 43-year-old Timothy Clinedinst.

Investigators learned Clinedinst assaulted 74-year-old David Philpot while in the 1700 block of Eastern Avenue. Mr. Philpot was transported to an area hospital where he later died on August 18, 2024.

Mr. Philpot's body was transported to the Medical Examiner's office where the death was ruled to be a homicide.

On August 19, 2024, Timothy Clinedinst was arrested in Baltimore County (Dundalk) and transported to Baltimore Police headquarters where he was debriefed before being transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility where he was charged with Involuntary Manslaughter.
