Central District Murder Arrest

On June 6, 2024, detectives arrested 25-year-old Aqil Tamir King. 

Detectives believe that King was involved in the murder of 34-year-old Jarmal Harrid, which occurred on June 2, 2024, in the 500 block of West Mulberry Street. 

Detectives transported King to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with first-degree murder and additional charges.

Central District Homicide Investigation

 On June 2, 2024, at approximately 3:49 a.m., officers responded to the 500 block of West Mulberry Street for reports of a shooting.

 Once inside a business at that location, they located a 34-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medics responded and pronounced the victim deceased a short time later. An unidentified suspect fled the location in a red Lexus.
