On Dec. 23, 2022, at approximately 11:52 a.m., Eastern District patrol officers responded to the 1600 block of East Eager Street to investigate a reported shooting.

Once at the location, officers located an 28-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. The victim was pronounced deceased by medics on scene.
